What People Have Said
Collected from programme feedback forms, June and July 2025.
Halimah Binti Sulaiman

"I went to the Welcome Session not knowing what to expect. I had been putting off thinking about retirement because the whole topic felt too complicated. The session was calm, the facilitator did not rush, and the handout they gave us was something I actually read again at home. I left with a much clearer sense of what I needed to look into."

"The Records Workshop was very practical. I had a bag of papers at home that I had been meaning to sort for years — kept telling myself I would do it when I retired. The workshop got me through it in a morning. The templates made it easy to decide what went where. Honestly, I wish I had done this sooner."

"I enrolled in the full Transition Programme with my wife. We found it very thorough — the sessions were spread over a few weeks which gave us time to think between them and come back with more questions. By the end we had all our documents sorted in the binder and a clear list of questions to bring to the EPF office. It really helped."

"I was a bit skeptical at first — I had been to a seminar a few years ago that turned out to be mostly about investment products. Goldmeadow was completely different. Nothing was for sale. The facilitator was straightforward about what they could explain and what we needed to ask the official offices directly. That kind of honesty is not common."

"I came to the Welcome Session with my sister. We are both about three years away from retirement and wanted to understand what we should be doing now. The session gave us enough context to have a proper conversation with our employer's HR department the following week. Worth every ringgit for the clarity it gave us."
Welcome to Retirement Information Session
Ibrahim Bin Bakar
Kluang, Johor — June 2025
"The workshop on paperwork was something my wife insisted I attend — she knows how disorganised I am. I have to admit, by lunchtime we had managed to sort through everything. The checklist especially was helpful because I had not realised how many documents I had simply never filed properly. I would suggest this to anyone who finds paperwork overwhelming."

Participant Journeys
Stories from Our Transition Programme
A few examples of how participants moved from feeling uncertain to feeling ready — at their own pace, in their own way.
The Situation
Overwhelmed by Competing Information
A married couple from Johor Bahru, both nearing 55, had received different information from colleagues, family members, and an online search — and were not sure what applied to their situation or where to start.
What They Did
Attended the Full Transition Programme
Over four sessions spread across three weeks, they worked through the general retirement framework, sorted their documents into the provided binder, and drafted a list of specific questions for the EPF office relevant to their circumstances.
The Outcome
Ready to Engage with Official Offices
They left with organised documents, a clear understanding of the general landscape, and the confidence to ask informed questions at their EPF appointment rather than arriving unsure of what to ask. They completed the programme in July 2025.
"We came in confused and left with a plan. Not a financial plan — we know that is for the proper people to help with — but a clear picture of where we stood and what to do next."
The Situation
Already Retired but Papers in Disarray
A retired civil servant in his early sixties had retired two years prior but found his paperwork scattered across multiple folders and boxes. He was uncertain which documents were still relevant and which he could set aside.
What He Did
Attended the Records Workshop
He attended the Records & Paperwork Organisation Workshop, bringing two folders and a bag of loose documents. By the end of the half-day session, everything had been sorted, labelled, and placed in the categories provided in the templates.
The Outcome
Two Years of Clutter Resolved in One Morning
He left with a fully organised set of documents and described the experience as something he should have done immediately after retiring rather than letting papers build up. He also attended the Welcome Session the following month for the broader educational context.
"I retired thinking I would sort the papers 'next week' for two years. One morning with Goldmeadow and it was done. Very practical, no fuss."
