About Goldmeadow

A Quiet Space to Understand What Comes Next

We are an information and education service based in Johor Bahru. Our role is to make the topic of retirement less confusing — not to advise, but to explain, organise, and support.

Our Story

How Goldmeadow Came to Be

Goldmeadow was set up in Johor Bahru in 2019 by a small group of people who had spent years working in adult education and administrative support. What brought them together was a shared observation: many Malaysians approaching retirement age felt overwhelmed — not because of a lack of intelligence, but because the information available was scattered, jargon-heavy, and often tied to products or services being sold.

The idea was simple. Create a calm, neutral space where someone could come, sit down, and have retirement frameworks explained to them in plain language. No selling, no advice, no pressure. Just information and practical help with organisation.

Since then, we have worked with hundreds of individuals and couples from across Johor, helping them feel more prepared before they consult the relevant official offices. We remain committed to that original purpose.

Our Mission

What We Are Here to Do

Our mission is to make retirement-related information accessible and understandable for ordinary people in Malaysia. We translate the complexity of EPF structures, retirement timelines, and document requirements into language that anyone can follow.

We are not a financial services company. We do not sell products, manage money, or provide advice on what you should do with your savings. Those decisions belong to you — and to the qualified professionals and official bodies you choose to consult.

What we offer is a clearer starting point: better understanding of what the landscape looks like, well-organised personal documents, and a prepared set of questions to bring to the people who can actually help you act.

How We Work

Our Standards and Approach

We take seriously our responsibility to be helpful without overstepping. These are the principles that guide what we do and how we do it.

Education-Only Scope

All content delivered in our sessions is strictly general educational information. We do not give personalised financial advice, and we are clear about this from the very beginning.

Personal Data Handled with Care

Any information participants share with us is used only to manage their registration. We do not share personal details with third parties for marketing. We follow applicable data protection requirements under Malaysian law.

Small Group Settings

We keep session sizes small so that facilitators can give each participant adequate attention. No one should feel lost in a crowd or too uncomfortable to ask a question.

Accurate, Current Reference Material

Our handouts and reference sheets are reviewed regularly and updated to reflect publicly available information from EPF, the relevant government ministries, and other official Malaysian bodies.

Transparent About Our Limits

If a question falls outside what we are able to address in an educational session — for example, something that requires a licensed adviser — we say so clearly and point participants toward the appropriate source of help.

Respectful of Every Situation

Retirement is a deeply personal topic. Our facilitators approach each session with sensitivity, recognising that participants may be at different stages emotionally as much as practically.

Our Approach

Retirement Information in Malaysia — What We Focus On

Malaysia's retirement landscape involves several overlapping elements: the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) as the primary savings vehicle for most private-sector workers, various pension arrangements within the public sector, and a range of supplementary voluntary schemes. For someone without a background in this area, working out what applies to them personally can feel genuinely difficult.

At Goldmeadow, our role is to present an educational overview of how these structures are generally arranged, without interpreting them for your individual situation. We explain concepts such as withdrawal eligibility, typical document requirements, and how official applications are generally made — drawing entirely on publicly available information from authoritative sources.

We also focus considerable attention on the practical side of preparation: helping people sort, label, and organise the personal documents that are typically needed when interacting with EPF or other relevant offices. Having these materials ready in advance can make those conversations considerably smoother.

Our team has been working in this area since 2019, building up a clear, consistent approach to information delivery that has helped many people across Johor Bahru feel more confident when they eventually speak with the official bodies responsible for their retirement arrangements. We welcome people at any stage — whether they are ten years away from retirement or already navigating the transition.
